Getting to know the mentor

What is the hardest thing about being a mentor?

The most challenging aspect of being a mentor is accurately assessing the interests, character traits, strengths, and weaknesses of a student in order to choose the perfect university.

What is the question most frequently asked by applicants?

The most frequently asked question is, "How realistic is it to get into a European university?" Many also express concerns about the potential cost, saying, "This is probably very expensive!" Another common inquiry is, "How do I choose the right major?"

As a mentor, it is my role to address these doubts and ensure that the process of enrolling at a European (or any other) university is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Why did you choose to learn Italian?

I have always been drawn to the culture of Italy and desired to immerse myself in it through language.

Why did you decide to help students study abroad?

I want to help students navigate the mistakes and mental hurdles that come with enrolling and relocating to an unfamiliar country. Having experienced this path firsthand, I understand the difficulties my applicants are currently facing. It was hard for me without the help of experienced people, so I decided to become a mentor and share my knowledge.

What did you do before joining UniPage?

I studied at a medical university and taught Italian to foreigners.

Tell us about your internship/study/work experience abroad.

Currently, I am pursuing my studies at an Italian medical university. This educational environment introduced me to a completely new system, which challenges me to evolve both as a student and a future doctor.

Moreover, my fellow students are a storehouse of all the cultures around the world. They inspire me and help me grow as a person.

Do you have a favorite country or specialization that you enjoy working with?

My favorite country is, of course, Italy. When it comes to specializations, it's challenging for me to choose just one — I find every field equally significant and fascinating to work with!

How many countries have you visited, and what was your most memorable trip?

Among my travels, visits to "ghost towns" in Italy have left an indelible impression on me. I wholeheartedly recommend everyone to experience them firsthand.

How do you relax or spend your free time?

The best vacation for me is getting to know something new — be it people, history, culture, or just a beautiful place in nature.
